About Fairhurst

W A Fairhurst & Partners was founded at the beginning of the last century. The firm operates from fifteen locations throughout the UK. The staff numbers around 450, who work under the direction of thirteen partners. Each office is, generally, structured into separate design teams of twenty to thirty technical staff under the direct control of a partner. There is close co-operation and exchange of expertise between design teams and amongst the various offices. In addition to the core business design teams in each local office, the firm has a number of Specialist Groups and Divisions which provide particular expertise when required.

The corporate structure of the practice highlights the simple chain of management via a key Management Group of three partners. All partners and directors are professionally qualified in their particular fields and operate a positive, hands-on approach to the running of projects.

The integrated approach of the practice ensures a commonality of quality and experience throughout all of the offices of the firm with the end result that a uniform high standard of service is achieved no matter the location. Local market place experience is brought to the table, wherever possible, to minimise the learning curve in any new project.

Membership of professional bodies exists at all levels in the firm and involvement in innovative design techniques is positively encouraged.
