By working as employers' adviser promoting and designing schemes as well as for contractors on design and build contracts combined with PPP experience, Fairhurst provides advice and develops designs based on total knowledge of all aspects of the needs of projects.
Experienced in developing initial concepts in sufficient detail to provide robust cost estimates for construction and maintenance. Consideration of alternatives with cost/benefit analyses to assist in recommendations.
Collection of baseline data and the calculation of the impacts resulting from any development.
Public consultation and preparation of planning applications and statutory orders. Presentation at public and parliamentary inquiries.
Preparation of detailed design, drawings, specification and bills of quantities.
Advice on contract conditions, consideration of PPP opportunities with public sector comparators, advertising and selection of tender list, managing tender process and reporting.
Extensive experience in undertaking the duties of Engineer, Resident Engineer, Project Manager, Supervisor, Employer's Representative and Designer's Representative to suit contract conditions. Knowledge of contract processes allows assessment of compensation events and contractors claims.
Acting as CDM Coordinator, preparation of pre-tender Health and Safety plans, hazard identification, preparing and managing strategic and project risk assessments.
