Design & Build Services

Fairhurst have a proven track record in providing design services to major Contractors and other Clients engaged in “Design and Build” projects particularly in the context of road and bridge infrastructure and civil engineering works. We traditionally have a high success rate in developing winning tender bids in conjunction with the main contractor and have a particular expertise in developing “value engineered” and innovative solutions both during the Tender process and as a continuing process throughout the construction phase.

We have been extensively involved in major D & B projects throughout Scotland over the past 15 years in the role both as Designer and Checker to the main contractor and also in the role as the Employer’s Representative.

Fairhurst maintain a strong relationship with Transport Scotland and endorse their ethos of working in a partnering environment in order to deliver a quality product within the time and cost constraints to the mutual benefit of all parties.

Our in-house specialist teams covering roads, bridges, geotechnical, hydrological and environmental aspects of any project ensure that Fairhurst are able to provide the full range of services for any major infrastructure or civil engineering project .
