Fairhurst has a strong relationship with Transport Scotland and is currently facilitating the delivery of range of improvements to the Trunk Road Network in Scotland. Our experience and capabilities run from STAG assessments through conceptual & specimen design, statutory processes and a range of procurement models, to site supervision and asset monitoring.
We ensure that for each commission, Fairhurst identifies the key skills and resources needed to deliver a quality service to programme and budget. Our in-house roads, bridges, geotechnical, hydrological and environmental teams are all experienced in developing, assessing and designing motorway and trunk roads schemes, including the design of impact mitigation and the preparation of contract documents.

Similarly, we have considerable experience for Local Authority and Developer clients on major routes throughout England, including A507 Ridgmont Bypass in Bedfordshire, A186 Shiremoor Bypass in North Tyneside, and on junction improvements at A5 Nutts Lane, A5 Grassplots and the A6/A5111 at Derby.
Further, our in-house Road Safety Audit Team are approved by Transport Scotland and the Northern Ireland Roads Service, where we are presently the independent road safety auditor for DBFO Package 1; schemes 1,2,3 & 4.
