Fairhurst

Synopsis:

Murray is a chartered engineer and fellow member of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers. He has been a partner of Fairhurst since 1999. He is a team player with a demonstrable track record of excellence and innovation in design. He has extensive experience of the design of building structures in concrete, steel and timber. During his career with Fairhurst, he has also been responsible for the design of a number of significant and complex bridge structures.

He is very much in favour of team working and whenever possible both close designer/contractor relationships and the integration of the Client into the team. He has published work on innovation in concrete design, is a past winner of The Institution of Structural Engineers Scottish Branch prize. His innovative designs on the M8 Woodside Viaduct in Glasgow received a Saltire Design Commendation for intelligent design.

Murray is also an approved SER Ltd Certifier for building structures.
