Apprenticeships

You don’t have to be a Graduate in order to work towards achieving professional qualifications. Fairhurst run Apprenticeship schemes where you get to work and gain experience alongside qualified engineers, earning a wage whilst being given time to attend appropriate day release and other courses, funded by Fairhurst, which lead to work-related qualifications.

Graduate Training

Fairhurst provides an environment that enables the breadth and depth of experience required for them to become members of the professional bodies appropriate to their chosen field.

Graduate training itself is undertaken in a structured manner with the development of the individual graduate being guided by experienced staff assigned to mentor the individuals. The firm operates an ICE accredited training agreement, with similar agreements being available for Graduates seeking membership of other professional bodies.

ICE Training Scheme

Fairhurst is an approved employer through the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and delivers the ICE Training Scheme. This provides employees the structured learning and professional development support to become professionally qualified while being supported by a Supervising Civil Engineer (SCE) and Delegated Engineer (DE) within the firm.

The support provided by both the SCE and DE’s ensure that employees are led through their professional development; evidencing their experience to complete the attributes set to become an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.
