Emilee Burr joined Fairhurst in 2021 after graduating from the University of Aberdeen with a First Class Master of Civil and Structural Engineering degree. In her first two years, Emilee has been involved in a variety of structural projects involving timber and steel frame design for a significant number of well-established timber frame developers across Scotland and England. Her involvement in projects has provided her with a greater knowledge of structural design and analysis and allowed her to liaise with many different clients.

One of Emilee’s greatest highlights occurred during her first year at Fairhurst, where she had the opportunity to design the entirety of the Taylor Wimpey Standard House Range which will be built throughout the UK.

Emilee is now taking on lead roles for a variety of projects and mentoring newer members of the team. Her dedication to learning and active involvement within Fairhurst is helping her gain experience and meet the required attributes to obtain a Chartered Engineer status with the Institute of Civil Engineers.

Working at Fairhurst I have the opportunity to be part of many different projects of varying size and scale. Each day, I learn something new and I’m sure that will continue as I progress in my career here and I am exposed to bigger, complex projects with greater learning opportunities.
