About the Role

We are seeking a experienced Graduate Civil Engineer (Water Engineering & Water Environment) to join the Glasgow Office to support project activity on major linear infrastructure projects, large development, renewables, reservoir engineering and flood management.

With a significant forward workload in the transportation and energy sector, as well as ongoing for support to the development and water sector, we are seeking enthusiastic and energetic graduates who are keen to develop skills, adapt to new opportunities and apply competencies within a fast moving environment.

We are particularly interested in graduates that are interested in drainage (including sustainable drainage), hydraulic/flood modelling and water structures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be aware of, and be keen develop skills in key industry software such as MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage, InfoWorks, TuFlow, Flood Modeller, GIS and CAD/BIM tools.
  • Demonstrate strong engagement skills to contribute in the team environment.
  • Show good communication skills, and be able to demonstrate capabilities in a range of scenarios including online meetings, in person groups and technical writing.
  • Identify output requirements, and be able to organise your work, and support that of others, to meet project objectives and quality benchmarks.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • BEng(Hons) or MEng in Civil Engineering (or Civil Engineering plus a related joint honours). We will also consider candidates with HNC/HND that are on, or considering a part time degree course.
  • Awareness or experience in a design office setting through visits or internships.
  • Awareness of pathways to professional qualification (ICE or similar professional body) and be able to demonstrate engagement in professional learning.
