Due to a healthy forward workload, we are currently looking to appoint an experienced Engineer / Senior Engineer / Technician in our Edinburgh office who will assist the Partner / Director and other team members working on the design of infrastructure and larger multidiscipline projects. The successful candidate will have relevant experience post qualification with EngTech, IEng or CEng status, or working towards these qualifications, viewed favourably.
Our Infrastructure team specialises in providing sustainable development infrastructure solutions to a mix of commercial, retail, industrial, energy, education and residential sector clients in Scotland. The team also works closely with other Fairhurst disciplines and offices to provide integrated solutions on larger multidisciplinary projects.
The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work in one of the UK’s leading private Engineering Consultancies working on infrastructure schemes throughout the UK.
We currently have a varied workload in both the private and public sector ranging from large scale masterplans in the retail sector to, education, research, scientific and hospitality schemes of varying scales, from pre-planning through to construction. You can expect to be active on a number of projects and with a number of clients at any given time. The successful candidate will need to show experience in drainage, roads and external works for these types of projects, with an emphasis on Sustainable Urban Drainage being essential.
