Muhammad Tahir’s keen interest in infrastructure led him to pursue a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering at COMSATS University Islamabad, graduating in 2018. For over two years after graduating, he gained practical experience in Pakistan designing and analysing key infrastructure projects including highways, drainage systems, and earthworks. Eager to further advance his engineering skills and knowledge, Tahir moved to the UK in 2021 to complete a Master’s degree in Structural Integrity at Brunel University London.
In 2022, Tahir joined Fairhurst as a Graduate Engineer. In his current position, he plays a pivotal part in delivering comprehensive infrastructure projects, from planning to detailed design, including highways, drainage, and earthworks. Preparing detailed design and working drawings, reviewing utility surveys and sewer records, drainage, SuDS and external works design, vehicle tracking, liaison with clients and specialists.
Tahir is currently enrolled in Fairhurst ICE training scheme, working diligently towards achieving the Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. His ultimate career goal is to become a fully qualified Chartered Engineer, embracing new challenges and inspiring other aspiring engineers with his passion, dedication and commitment to engineering excellence.
