Grandhome is a residential-led mixed-use development comprising up to 7000 homes, town and neighborhood centres which include commercial, retail and leisure uses, community facilities, an energy centre, a network of open spaces and supporting infrastructure.
The development is intended to form a new centre for the Bridge of Don area of Aberdeen.
The sympathetic integration of new infrastructure with existing networks has been a key area for Fairhurst input. Well-connected streets are designed following key principles from the Scottish Government’s ‘Designing Streets’ policy.
The various neighborhood phases are designed to maximize connections using streets, promote active travel and combine together to form an attractive, traditional place.
