After nearly three decades in the old Bristol office (that had seen better days), the Bristol team completed an office move to newly fitted-out accommodation, The Cube, in early January. The move came after what must have been one of the most turbulent years in the history of the office after a flood in early May 2023 and then, for good measure, a major fire incident in the building just before our move to the new office in December. Unperturbed by these distractions, the Bristol team pulled together and completed the move in good order and ‘Bristol Fashion’. The new building was recently refurbished and we engaged with a professional team of office designers to create the new space. The office is located opposite the popular Bristol Harbourside precinct, with a range of amenities on the doorstep.
The move to our new premises was carefully considered and reflects the firmwide strategy to improve the offering to our current teams and prospective employees. The Cube was selected after examining a number of city centre properties. Its location in relation to local transport hubs, other amenities and the flexible office space were all key in making it our final choice. We are looking forward to a long and healthy presence in the building.
David Townsend, Partner, said, “Having started my ‘Fairhurst journey’ in the Clifton office many years ago, the move, and in particular the clearing of historic documents, stirred fond memories of past colleagues and projects that have been successfully delivered. The new office gives Fairhurst a fantastic opportunity to build on these past successes, attract new staff to our modern, comfortable working environment and generate further successes in the future.”
The move represents a step forward for Fairhurst, with our people in Bristol benefiting from much-improved accommodation and better working environments.
