Due to a healthy forward workload, we are currently looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Technician to join Leeds office team. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects spanning the retail, logistics, rail, residential, commercial, and renewables sectors.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting a team of engineers and technicians with the production of engineering drawings in AutoCAD & Civils 3D
  • Production of Autocad Models of our schemes.
  • Preparation and checking of simple engineering calculations
  • Initial checking of own work and junior staff members
  • Contributing to and providing solutions to design problems
  • Meeting agreed deadlines
  • Liaison with statutory bodies such as Water Companies, Environmental Agency and County Roads Departments etc.
  • Ensure that quality and consistency of technical output by the team (drawings, reports etc.) is maintained.
  • Liaise in a professional manner colleagues, clients, contractors and other designers and to offer advice and guidance on matters relating to their work.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

  • A qualification as a technician is helpful but Civils 3D skills must be of a high standard
