Our primary business is the provision of Civil and Structural engineering consultancy services, supplemented through specialist Divisions, including Planning and Development, Geotechnical and Environmental, Traffic and Transportation, Ports and Harbours, and Water Services. This multi-disciplinary service approach provides a ‘one stop shop’ to Clients in the development and construction sectors.
About the Role – You will be based in the Inverness office. As a civil engineering apprentice technician in Fairhurst you will work with a team of engineers and other professionals in the engineering consulting industry and will be involved in the drawing, development and design of a wide range of civil engineering works. This will typically include New Build and Alterations to a variety Commercial and Public Buildings, Single Build Architect designed Houses, and also include drainage design and details.
The Modern Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering will run over a three year period during which time you will undertake a supervised programme of training and college day release which can lead to Technician (EngTech) Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineer (ICE).
As a civil engineering graduate apprentice you will be working in a team of engineers and technicians supporting the delivery of design work associated with our major projects. Duties may include:
