The ‘art deco’ style clubhouse is a three-storey building that was positioned on the newly developed Castle Stuart Golf Course which benefits from panoramic views of the Moray Firth and surrounding areas.
The clubhouse was designed as a combination of steel frame superstructure and BECO insulating formwork. The use of BECO allowed the external structural walls to be efficiently formed while achieving high insulation requirements driven by the architectural design.
Structural, civil and geotechnical design work is currently progressing on the proposed Cabot Highlands redevelopment project that includes a new world-class clubhouse facility, luxury lodges and associated infrastructure.
