Fairhurst was commissioned by CBRE to prepare design proposals for the remodelling and rebranding of the existing Team Valley Retail World site. This included enhanced public realm proposals and new retail/food units for a new leisure terrace as part of the regeneration scheme in Gateshead.
Fairhurst’s team developed an innovative, sustainable landscape masterplan and construction package for the leisure terrace and pedestrian spine serving 5 new retail/food units within the existing Team Valley Retail Park. Our services included civil, structural & geo-environmental engineering and landscape architecture. We delivered our services from inception (leading on the site investigation/surveys and planning submission work) to completion.
The sustainable approach of our landscape proposals to the external works integrated environmental sensitivity with accessible paving, supporting pragmatic management and low-cost maintenance requirements. The design team worked closely to resolve site construction issues to deliver a high-quality retail environment.
