Fairhurst Newcastle office is delighted to have been crowned multiple award winners on Friday night at The Institution of Structural Engineers (Northern Counties) Awards 2023, with a fantastic evening hosted by Andrew Snowball & Doug Kay.

We received awards in the following categories:

North Shields Transport Hub:

  • Winner Large Project Award
  • Winner Zero Carbon Award
  • Winner Most Collaborative Project

Albert School, Washington:

  • Winner Most Social Value Project
  • Winner Most Sustainable Project

Morpeth Leisure Centre:

  • Large Project Category – Special Commendation

Young Engineer Award:

  • Winner – Vasiliki Celia Georghadjis

A big thanks also to Willmott Dixon, NAPPER ARCHITECTS, Desco (design & consultancy) Ltd, North Tyneside Council, JDDK Architects, GT3 Architects, Sunderland City Council (Amanda Gallagher), Brims Construction Limited, Elvet Chartered Surveyors for their significant contributions to these fantastic projects.

We also managed to raise over £1,000 for St Oswald’s Hospice on the night!
