Bullocksteads Sports Ground and Blakelaw Park were originally football focused facilities. The development opened up these grounds to incorporate other types of sports with the addition of sports buildings, Artificial Grass Pitches (AGP) and associated infrastructure.
Fairhurst’s multi-disciplinary design team which included civil, structural, geotechnical, planning and landscape architecture services were involved in the project from the start, assisting the client and the project design team from conception to completion.
The main challenge on the job was coordination between the various stakeholders, pitch specialist, client requirements and design team. The expertise of Fairhurst’s multi-disciplinary design team has enabled us to provide a coordinated response throughout the project, and a full and comprehensive service to the client.
