Dogger Bank Facility at Port of Tyne consists of three building elements, all of which support the Dogger Bank Wind Farm in the North Sea.
The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) base and Warehouse was delivered by a joint venture between SSE and Equinor. Fairhurst were commissioned to carry out civil and structural engineering services and transport planning up to RIBA Stage 4.
The composite timber and steel frame hybrid chosen for the building’s structure was considered optimal in terms of structural efficiency and reduction in embodied carbon.
