The renovated Bus station at Kingston, in South West London is a transport hub with 12 new stops.
The redevelopment includes two new pavilion which include waiting rooms and facilities for staff, with a canopy between the two pavilions to provide cover over the external bus stops.
The canopy is formed from diamond shaped openings through weathered steel plates supported by curved cruciform columns.
External structural works included concrete vehicle barriers and seating areas.
Fairhurst provided construction support and practical details to enable the canopy to be fabricated.
