MLP Doncaster

Situated to the south of Doncaster and close to J34 of the A1(M) the first phase of development delivered 2 separate ambient industrial units with warehousing areas of 500,000 sq.ft and 550,000 sq.ft

The existing site topography of the former arable land led to significant cut and fill earthworks design required to optimise the development plateaus. A natural batter earth bund was designed along the northern boundary to enable development of land to the north as part of further phases.

The existing soil strata included sandstone and extensive geotechnical investigation was carried out to enable to use of drainage soakaways via lagoons situated along the eastern boundary. This was crucial as the site had no existing drainage infrastructure in close proximity and options to dispose off-site to local water courses involved complex routes across third party land.

A new foul water sewer had to be constructed along the route of the main road down to an existing pumping station some 1200m to the south.
