We are delighted for our Technical Director, Ellen Halkon who was named a finalist for the Construction News Inspiring Women in Construction & Engineering Awards 2024!
Ellen has been shortlisted for the ‘Inspirational Leader – Consultant’ category! Receiving recognition from her colleagues and clients, she is a remarkable leader at Fairhurst and within the construction industry. At the forefront of the bridge design discipline for Fairhurst, Ellen has not only showcased her strong technical skills but has also instilled a positive, delivery-focused ethos among her team.
During her tenure at Fairhurst, Ellen has led the team to many successes and won awards for various projects. The Doune Castle Footbridge is one the projects that have been listed for several awards in 2022. Ellen was also the Category 3 check lead for the Stockingfield Bridge which won the ICE People’s Choice 2022 award.
